Maybe it wasnt fair putting the Wrangler up against such broad competition as Fullsize trucks and any SUV besides Jeep........Looks like its still doing ok though.

Heres my Jeep. It works great for pretty much everything. I feel like these are the ultimate camping vehicle. There is enough space in back to tote around some real gear (unlike most cj's and wranglers), small enough to get everywhere (unlike fullsize trucks) and still dang capable.

It is currently needing some new wheel bearings though :(. There goes more knife money :(.

And my parents truck.... ok, its mostly a shot of my departed dog, but who can blame me, this shot is awesome.

GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 quad cab is the only way to go. you get a very good play toy plus a very good work truck too. how can you go wrong?

My ideal wheels don't meet any of your criteria.
Dodge M-37 (close second is an M-35, but there are places they can't go...)

Here is a vid of a Power Wagon in action.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDDYuOb2pbg

This is our jack of all trades truck. 2008 Dodge Power Wagon. 4 Wheelers KNOW the deal with these. For those that don't: has a long travel, highly articulating suspension, Bilstein shocks, 4.56 Gears in the axles, 2.72: Lo range & a G56 6-speed manual trans w/a 1st gear ratio of 6.29:1. That makes for a 78:1 crawl ratio (lower than a Rubicon, even with their 4:1 Lo range & a manual trans). Under side skid plating. Locking rear & front differentials, disconnecting front swaybar, WARN 15,000 lb winch behind the front bumper, Alcoa one piece forged alum rims with internal beadlock ribs, Lo range gas pedal reprogram (so if you accidently mash the pedal to the floor while crawling over logs & such, it does not destroy the drive train), & yeah, that things got a HEMI !!! LOVE THIS TRUCK. :D Plan to use it more off-road once i/we retire & i don't have to depend on it for a ddriver.

Just bought my daughter one of these. GREAT vehicle, we love it. Same color too, orange. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5psQmHjV3A

33 mpg, 8.7" of ground clearance. Does great off-road for a car.

These are my two fullsize 4x4's

'84 chevy K5 blazer. Crate 350, rebuilt and beefed up 700r4 trans, 3.08:1 gears in 10 bolt axles. I'll probably leave this one alone and keep it as my daily driver since it's mostly straight and rust-free

'90 F250 460, C6 tranny, 3.55 gears. This might possibly be getting traded for a '91 ranger plus cash tomorrow, still not sure if I want to get rid of it but we'll see.

I drive old stuff because they're paid for. No payments and my insurance is $200/6 months for both trucks. Costs me almost $200 a month in gas but I'm ok with that if it means no payments and not having to drive some bland 4-door car I loath.

Just because here's my last two rides. this is the '74 ranchero GT that I bought when I was 16 for my first car. 400m, C6 trans.

and this is why I don't have it anymore. Made out like a bandit on the insurance but I sure miss that car.

And this is what I got to tide me over while I settled the insurance on the 'chero and my blazer was in the shop. '74 pontiac catalina I picked up for $400 with 90,000 original miles. Mechanically perfect with a 2bbl 400 and th400 trans. Sold it when I bought the F250 but I miss it too believe it or not. Very nice driver and got 17mpg on the highway with room for 6 and a huge trunk. I did make $200 profit on it though.

I've also gone through a '89 F150 supercab and an '80 suburban, both 4x4's. I'm a big guy, I like big rides.

The '05 SAR response vehicle. Yeah, it's got a Hemi. :D Does great off-road, but will still do 100+ mph by the top of the interstate entrance ramp!

TJ, I don't recognize the others as real choices. Seriously, any and all are good. I just happen to always end up behind the wheel of a Jeep TJ/CJ.

My everyday ride is a full size Ford 4x4, but when I need to get back away from everyone else I take my Willys Jeep.

I myself drive an XJ (Jeep Cherokee) which is pretty beat up looking these days. Once we get done with the better half's JK, we will put some effort into getting mine where I want it.

Here are some pics of the JK as it sits now.http://www.jk-forum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=135416&d=1299642895

Still gotta mount the winch on the bumper, but as you can see by the second pic, the wench is in place.

This is what it previously looked like:
