Been wanting to do it for a while, and finally drew it out and went for it. Very pleased with the result. I also went ahead and took the back portion of the blade to a shallower convex for fine work, and left the front pretty beefy. The swedge is there, but due to the thin material I made it really steep.

Looks good. I really love the Ontarios. My favorite machete is the 12 inch.

Looks great man! I have an Ontario never used I may hafta do something similar eventually.

The Ontarios are my favorite as well. Both the thicker and thin ones have their place depending on what your looking to do.

The 12" cutlass is just plain awesome for attaching to a pack. The only ones I don't care for are any model with the sawback.
