As some of you may know Jeremy and I have started raising meat rabbits. During this process we plan on using our Beckers in any way we can. We are going to post more threads about our use of Beckers taking care of and slaughtering the rabbits for you guys to enjoy.

We got two rabbit hutches for free that needed some of the wood replaced. We needed something to help pry off the bad boards and we instantly thought of the Tac tool.

Getting Jeremy to help with this was easy because he got to break stuff and use one of his knives.

The Tac tool finished the task and wanted more.

PS I plan on getting here and making more beneficial posts, it is just hard to get on here during gardening season.

Appreciate the pics of a Becker working... My favorite threads are those were a Becker is out doing what its supposed to do! Also raised some rabbits and other farm animals growing up, and I remember fondly building hutches and chicken coops and the like. Had a breakout and lost the rabbits, found one of the heads out in the snow a season later... quite weird... (sorry for sharing a random memory) lol anyways thanks for sharing.

That's awesome to see a 3 featured in a thread. I haven't seen a 3 in thread for awhile now.

What part is the slaughterhouse going to be? Are you going to use a 5? :D

The BK3 is certainly the "Tool" part of Becker Knife and Tool. It is designed to do whatever you need to do with it. Including prying.

I can assure you that BK-3 was not in any danger.

That thing is a beast and those boards came right off.

We don't have a 5 (I know I know, get one) But we are planning on using my BK-15 maybe an 11.

Amanda wants to use her 11 and I want to use the 15. Either way there will be dead bunnies in the freezer.

I think it says a lot about a couple when they lovingly discuss what blades they are going to use to kill things with.

LOL

Wish my wife was as awesome as yours..the only thing she talks about using my becker blades on is my ..... nevermind I'm afraid she might see this post and actually do it to me

What species of rabbit did you guys get to raise? Also, I'm curious, how are you going to go about the slaughtering? Break the neck or?

Great thread. I'm still waiting for uncle E to give a lil tweener love to the 3 or even a becker sized 3 would be great to throw in a pack.

One pair is Californian and New Zealand cross and the second pair are mut meat rabbits.

We will be breaking the neck, then peeling the skin off and then cleaning out the body cavity.
