I have seen quite a few pics recently in the snark thread of stainless bottles, with the nalgene cup and the stanley cook pot. I have all of those but have yet to use any of them over the fire--The photos I saw all looked pretty clean. I dont mind gear that looks used but dont really want soot and dirt all over my gear--So do you guys keep your cookware meticulously clean, do you use high temp stove paint or are you just a mall ninja like me and dont actually use your gear:D-(I got them for Christmas and havent had time to use them)--So lets see your pics of your used cookware (mostly stainless bottles and nesting cups)

I use a stainless steel Zebra pot. I use it all the time in the fire and it certainly gets dirty. I have a dedicated cloth stuff sack for it that keeps soot out of my pack. When I get home, I usually give it a scrub with a scotchbrite pad and soap/water. If I really want to get the grime off, I'll use a bit of Barkeepers Friend and water. Fact is, if you put a pot in the fire it will, over time, get black and dirty.
