Seems like the replacement scales out there are all for the new KaBar Beckers. Due to tang being
skelotonized on the new ones, I've been told they will not fit the older Camillus knives. Looking to
replace mine with new Micarta for the Camillus knives. Colors optional but want to go with orange.
I was hoping someone out there would know. Mine are BK 2, BK 7 & BK 9.
Thanks! I appreciate it.

Hello Gscocch,

I have a newer BK2 and BK9 and while they do have a skeletonized tang, the micarta handle scales do not interact with that part in any way.

The micarta slabs I got are completely flat on the tang side, so skeletonized or not, they should work fine. I got mine from Tobar's, but they are 'factory micarta' handles, so you should be able to get them elsewhere as well.

This isn't an issue I have heard of. I have an older BK2 without the skeletonized tang (still a Kabar though), and the scales are the same as on the current beckers. The BK12 has a skeletonized tang but comes with old Camillus scales and accepts newer ones without any issues. The only micarta I've seen for these knives is the factory micarta, but TKC offers a variety of colors in G10.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will give the available scales out there a shot. The reason I ask in the first place is because the
"knifeconnection.com" folks told me they would not fit. (they offer an extensive line of becker scales.
