Howdy all,

Ive been looking at the Becker knives and must say they are real pretty;)

Ive been looking for somewhere locally to buy them (Toronto, Canada) but i cant seem to do it.

If anyone from Toronto knows where to find them id be more than grateful!

I figured it would be cheaper locally then having to pay shipping since i plan to buy a couple;)

BasiliOS ,
I found one place in Toronto that sells the BK2 for 129.95 CAD . I guess it is still cheaper to get it online...
If you're still interested , pm me and I'll give you the details . There is another store that sells KaBars , but I don't know if they have Beckers in stock .

Go to srknives.com, or better yet his ebay store Wholesale Knives and Swords. He has a few Kabar Beckers there. His retail outlet is in Etobicoke Ontario. His name is Rodney. I've purchased lots of knives from him and he's typically cheapest in Canada (on ebay). He ships to the US so he has to compete with US retailers.

Edit: just checked his ebay store and he doesn't have any BK2's atm. But he has both the BK7 and BK9 for under 100US. I paid 77 for the BK2 when I bought it from him.

hmm at that price i guess it would be better for me to buy it online since its less than half price.

Bushman5 is up your way and might know where to get a deal. If not, give Moose a holler, and I am sure he will help you find something. Best of luck, and welcome to the addiction!

Yep definitely better deals on line. And it is cheaper to buy it from a seller in the states because you don't have to pay hst and believe it or not the shipping is cheaper in most cases I just got a bk2 from eBay called Cumberlandknifeworks. They reared me well and I got it for $69 + like $9 or $10 shipping. I can't remember the shipping charges exactly but that was the best deal I saw

Buying it from the US is no cheaper. If CP delivers it, he'll be paying 8 dollars + taxes upon arrival. If it arrives via UPS/Fedex, it'll be a lot more due to brokerage fees. A lot of US stores prefer to ship USPS Express (internationally) which is not only a lot more expensive, but flagged at Customs due to it's "important" appearance. USPS Airmail is slow, cannot be tracked, and the most common to go missing. USPS priority is not cheap, can be tracked to some extent, but again will be delayed by customs a week or so, as my Doug Ritter RSK was. I also expect to be charged an additional 12-15+ dollars in fees and taxes.

I just pulled the trigger on a bk11 and bk13.

Smaller blades that I can use for work.
The shipping was a bit expensive but with the dollar being about even I'll take the hit for such good knives.

I do plan to get the 2,7,9 soon tho so I'll drop them a pm and see if they know a good place;)

Sweet Jeebus, no farther away than you are, just drive to Orleans and pick one up from Toooj. Seriously, there are a few B&M stores in the US that have them, very close to where you are at. Goggle fu is ur friend. Some, like Tomars might offer to let you stop in and fondle some. Worth checking into, and, you'll be in the US. Simply drive it home after you've made your purchase.

Hey buddy, fellow canuck here. I order all my Kabar goodness from Warriors and Wonders, theyre in BC shipping should run about 10 bucks. I must say though with our dollar being so strong, Ive saved money on my last few purchases ordering from knivesshipfree.com. They only charge 5 bucks to ship to Canada and you might be able sneak it through customs without any duties to pay. I just got an Izula II kit from them cheaper than it would have cost me from a Canadian dealer. Hope the stores I listed are permitted Moosie...

You're good.
We have a Canadian forum on here, just to let you guys know, great guys like Bushman5 and other Canadians are on there to share info, that us Southern fellas don't have. Like, what color snow, and what hockey teams you guys like, or how much gravy and curds do you put on your poutine, stuff like that. Just sayin'. :D

Check it out.

hey man, im in Toronto too and this week I was also looking to get my first Becker. Well, Ive been eying the BK2 for probably a few monthes now, and ive been lurking in this forum a bit but I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one. I went to SR Knives after hearing about the place from this site. I called ahead and apparently they sold out last week, so I called Wednesday and they did get another shipment of 10 in, but they only had 2 left when I called. They held one for me so I rushed over after work(its located at Rexdale/27 in the Woodbine Mall).

Anyway, I told the guy I was there to pick it up, so he brought it out for me. Apparently he sold the other one just before I got there. Anyway, I made the purchase, alone with a Lansky sharpener. Man the BK2 is a thing of beauty. The pictures dont do it justice, the knife is such a beast. The blade is much thicker then I thought for some reason, and it just feels so solid like itll last forever(with some spa treatments that is).

So to recap, SR Knives is sold out of the BK2 as of Wednesday, hopefully they get more in stock soon but if you plan to go to the store id recommend calling ahead. It came out to $91 after tax, which isnt horrible I suppose, but it was nice to just get it and have it.

Thanks Ethan for making a quality product!

A few people have mentioned this store.

I've been hesitant to go because it's abit far from my place but since alot recommend it I'll have to go check it out soon.

X2 On Warriors and Wonders. Got my bk2 from Jay, He's great to deal with and He's still showing them in stock.

Tomar is so far North he might as well be Canadian. if he's agreeable, and you live nearby, it's probably worth it to at least pick your stuff up there, if not shoot the shit with the man.

then find some logs and beat your knives up a little bit, and stow them with your spare tire. "nothing to declare, oh them? yah, i've had them a while, used'em too"...

har

course, Canadians can buy the useful remedies over the counter up there that we need a script here for. sore throat? codeine? no problem. bad back? robax platinum? no problem. Montreal even has some lovely offerings :) har. McDonalds has poutine. i mean, what's not to like :) i miss living up that way.
