Its not easy to break blades into Hollywood. Trust me, I know it better than most.
One of the main reasons, is BKT didn't get much "credit" until lately, and by lately, I mean the last 2 years. We have brought BKT to the forefront and folks all over the place are falling in love with them. And why not? What's not to love?
Here's the thing, movie producers and prop masters know what an impact it will have, to have a knife show up in a movie, and they want, and want, and want something for it. Not just a few free knives, oh, no, they want more.
And more, is where the problem is. I can see paying for good advertisement, truly, I can, but what they want, is beyond most. The best way to do it, is to have someone on the inside, willing to make a leap for you.
Then, you hope they land on their feet after that leap, because if they don't, then they are gone. For good. The old expression, "You'll never work in this town again" is as true today, as it was back then. Probably more so.
Iconic knives will get put in movies, well, because they are icons. History has proven them to be "addressable", or, say, time period stamped, so they fit in the movie. Kabar, Saving Private Ryan, BoB, etc.
BKT is an old company, but the love of the blades is new. We need to elevate the BKT Lineup, to legendary status, then, yes then, they will be calling us, wanting us to ALLOW them to put them in the movies.
