:DI got a chance to get up too the Smoky Mountain Knife Works today, and what better chance, to see BKT knives in captivitiy.

Not alot of stock, only about 9 knives total, the BK14 is not pictured, mainly, because I didn't see it until later.

I had a ton of fun, I wish they had more Beckers though. The grand total of their floor stock, was 2 BK3's, 2 BK5's, 2 BK9's, 2 BK2's and an ESKabar. I'm sure they had more stuff, elsewhere, and I would have made them drag it out if I was going to lay some money on the barrel head. I was good. For the 3rd time in 33yrs, I didn't spend a dime at the SMKW's. My wife was glad. :D

Sorry, my pics aren't that great, my camera fu was off today.

That place is amazing... visited there about 3 years ago, surprising that's all they had considering how massive the store is.

Um, well, er, uh, Becker stocks in a lot of places is very depleted. Not really sure why, but there has been a rash of BKT sales lately.

Most of the dealers I have been talking to about the BH Deal of the Month, has been a challenge. Everyone wants to give it a go, but their stocks are so low, they can't handle the backlog of backorders that would need to be filled, and they don't want ya'll to wait too long.

I am starting from scratch on Monday, with a new round of emails to other places, ya'll scared them with the wish list, not that, that is a bad thing, but I was actually glad to see some BKT's behind the glass.

Most every dealer was low on stock, Spyderco, Cold Steel, Kershaw, Kabar, and many others had some of the lowest counts I've seen in a while, and that's a good thing.

Well I know i've done my part, 3 new Beckers in the last 2 months :D

was up that way a few months ago and didn't have chance to get by that store. Although I get their catalogs, I bet its a blast for a knife lover to visit.

Is this the place us BH's might be getting a few discounts from?

Spyderco was low there? Last time I went there were a ton of Spydercos and Kershaws there. Well, I guess the new sales is a good thing for the knife world.

Thanks for the pics Moose.

Yeah, Spyderco usually occupies about 6' of counter, 4 shelves deep. There was only about 5' of counter and 2 shelves. Back stock looked low too.

Kershaw was about normal, 6' of counter, 4 shelves, but no back stock behind the demo knives, which is unusual. Kabar was missing about 6' of its counter space too, but did have 4 full shelves. Kabar usually occupies about 12' of counter, 4 shelves.
