Dang, that's not right - I meant, "acid on Beckers..." Yeah, that's better.
I'm quite behind in my knife modification skills, and so have not yet tried electroetching. (Have a new BK-16 and a BK-19 I'd like to deepen the logos on - so I just might try in the future.)
In the meantime, I have however, gone the acid etch route a few times using RadioShack's PCB Etchant Solution. Some random photos of different knives/different stages in "the process":
BK-17 "changing, do you see?":
