Howdy all...I spent a week camping in the mountains of West Virginia the last week of June. We were in a state park and the weather was cool and clear until the heat wave began at the end of the week when we left. I had two BK&T knives with me. The first one I used was my old Rheinhardt Kukri that I got over 20 years ago from Atlanta Cutlery. I used it to cut up some fallen limbs for campfires. It got into the forties a couple of nights. As usual, it was amazing how efficient it was at biting into and removing wood. Its combination of the perfect sweet spot and light weight makes it a wonderful tool for such things. The second one I used was my Magnum Camp Knife. This one was a Christmas gift from an old friend in 2010. It was used to cut up a whole pork loin into chops and chunks for chili. It did this quite well and was excellent for general kitchen and camp tasks...That's why its called a Camp Knife I guess. I also used a Swiss Army Tradesman and a Kershaw Swamprat. On a long hike in the woods, I carried my Entrek Elk in a custom pancake leather sheath made for me by a local leathermaker, James Kirkpatrick at Backwoods Leather...So, I got to use a few of my favorite blades. The only disappointment was a Gerber folding saw that had the blade break into three pieces when I was sawing a 3" branch with it. The blade kept binding and finally flexed and shattered...It was a great trip!...Frizz
