becoming a knife dealer

I would like information on becoming a knife dealer. I want to be able buy custom knives and automatic knifes direct from manufacture.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Most states have small business development centers sponsored by collaborating universities. Ckeck to see if Big Red is on board with a program like this and give them a call - their help is usually free.

If your business is a sloe proprietorship, you will probably have to register your business with a local office, obtain a tax ID number, and you're off! Check ALL local laws and regs to make sure you will be dealing with legal goods in your state since auto's are a bit tricky. Pick up a copy of Blade 2000 which has an extensive list of manufacturers/distributors and start writing some letters to set up accounts. From what I understand it really is that easy.
