Those Beeman products are really well made and will give years of reliable service with only minor care on your part. As you're probably aware, Beeman's headquarters building is just down the road from you in the Huntington Beach area. Drop in some time and chat with Don Walker, their customer service rep. He's a great guy and a helluva shooter to boot.
As a matter of fact, I just took my Beeman P1 magnum air pistol in for its first servicing in over 15 years. All they had to do was replace a couple of seals, and just to be safe they replaced the mainspring as well (although the old one was still working fine). Not too shabby considering the thousands upon thousands of pellets that it's launched downrange in its lifetime. I've only been using my R1 rifle for about 10 years, so I figure I have a few more to go before I have to take it in.
