It's been a long time since I was last here or did anything with knives, so what's changed? I remember something about Benchmade changing there whole system or something around when I left. They came out with all these different lines designated by different colors. I also remember when somebody asked about speedsafe, and I said how much I like my avalanche and that I wish there were a speedsafe knife that opened fast, had a big blade, and did NOT use index finger opening, Ken Onion told me to hang on. Did anything develope with that?
Basically, what's happened in the non-ridiculously expensive (i.e non over $250...really $150, but I want to cover my bases), non artsy knife world in the past few months?
Thanks,
Richard

If you don't consider this knife to be too artsy then I would take a look at the Benchmade BM630 Skirmish.

(This is an old picture. I guess the production knife will have four holes instead of three.)

- 4.3" blade
- 9.7" overall length
- 5/32" thick
- S30V
- Beadblast Ti Framelock
- Tip down carry

Retail - $220.00, but available for for pretty darn close to that $150.00 you mentioned.

That very well may be my first Benchmade purchase. Well, I'll have to get an AFCK too. I have yet to try that Axis Lock. Sigh, too many hobbies, not enough money for them. I suppose I should also check if MD, VA, DC, and NC (yup, that last one's right) laws prohibit blades over 4 inches.
