I must say im impressed with this knife. Its been a super long week waiting for this baby. I should have ordered this a year ago
when I first thought about getting one. It feels really good in the hand. Feels like a fighting knife and makes my ESEE 6 look small.

The sheath rattles very badly so I dont have much good to say about the sheath other than its better than no sheath.
I like the BK5 a lot. Cant wait to put it to some use.

Love my 5!!!! I should get some more of them before they're gone.

Congrats man. The 5 is one fine blade. I tend to gravitate towards my 9 and 4 more, but I need to get the 5 back out.

Congrats on the new knife. When I first held my BK5 I was surprised at how nimble(cant think of another way to put it) it felt. It appeared like a very big knife, but it felt light and quick. Now its time to turn that new knife into a used knife. Have fun.

Grats on the 5!

I love mine!

Here's an easy way to fix the sheath rattle. Stuff a small leather scrap down in between the liner and the knife, then fold it over tuck the other end between the liner and the polyester. My scraps are about 6 inches long and the width of the opening (G2's idea I believe).

Love the 5. One of the most underrated knives in the line. Glad I own two of them as well as two 15s.

Thanks guys! I saw the thread about the leather fix. That looks good. Where do you buy leather? I tried putting pool noodle foam in the sheath but thats not ideal.

Yeah thats about how I would describe it. It feels swift and nimble. lol

It really depends on your uses and preferences which Beckers (or any knife) tickles yer toenails. Is the 5 the best stand alone Becker for me if romping with the ticks ?, not really. I would cringe at battoning it myself, although I did it a bit to my first 5. But what attracts me to it is that its a really big blade that weighs nothing, a real fly weight. I have a lot of knives in different sizes and configurations. The 5 fits in its own category for MY preferences, and to each their own. Is it the be all, end all ?, no, but some of us still like it for what it is. Nice to see others appreciating the blade.

Dude I've beat the helloutta my 5. Don't hesitate to do it. As long as you don't hit any really hard pine knots you're gtg.
