Bought my first Sebenza in BG42 back in the 99/00 time frame.

Over the years I’ve had several variations of the 21, ended up selling them all at one time or another, while outstanding knives for one reason or another they just never clicked with me for an EDC.

I’ve been following the discussion about the 31 for a while now, pros and cons and it peaked my interest.

Got a chance yesterday to handle one in person, centered blade, a smooth hydraulic opening feel, etc., everything you would expect from CRK.

The most important thing, the 31 clicked for me as a EDC… liked it so much I bought two.

Same here. I have 2 that wife bought me and I’ll always keep. An Insingo 21 and a 25. They never clicked as an EDC for me because they don’t hold an edge very well in my cutting tasks. My CRKs are mainly weekend carry. If I need a knife to cut all day, I’d grab something different in a better steel.

Both of mine are S45VN, time will tell on the edge holding.

Congrats!

Hopefully these stick and you get to enjoy them for just as long if not longer than your previous knives!

I bought a 21 a while ago. I have really enjoyed it. Is the 31 much different?

I wouldn’t say it’s that much different but just enough subtle differences that makes it a keeper for me.

Even though there’s a excellent selection of knives to choose from, most folks come back to a CRK. I want to say, why did you get two of the same when other variations are out there ? But, then I remembered I have no room to talk ;)

I really like my 31 too. I've been very impressed with the S45. It holds a razor edge for a long time imo.
