Well....

I've been away for a bit. Had to take a break. A month or more ago (maybe 2?) i started getting terrible headaches and my hands started falling asleep. I went to the doctor and i have high blood pressure. On my second kind of medicine for it now and it seems to work.

I quit smoking AND dipping in about 3 days. The tobacco and bp meds made me a bit of a fnckstick for a while. My wife is great btw. I still want to smoke, especially after eating or something else (it's been about a month i guess since i smoked or dipped).

Then last week i discovered a lump on my throat . Specialist says its an almost 4cm tumor on my thyroid which needed to be removed yesterday. It comes out next week. My wife is doing some weeping. Especially since the specialist says there is a small chance that the thyroid is cancerous (like 1 in a bizzzzillion). I aint scared (yet). I've been in waaay worse scrapes than this being a policeman. That tumor is getting the middlefinger from me!

I've been walking and trying to watch what i eat. Let me tell you bkheads....that sucks! I want to eat a chocolate cupcake and smoke a marlboro at the same time. I've held strong at 180 lbs, i'm determined not to gain alot (some is okay) from quitting tobacco. But patrolling for 12 hours makes one reflect on the ole' copenhagen longcut.

insert many four letter words here from me..........*(&%^(*&%^*&%^$%&^%$ !!!!!!

I've snuck in here a few times and in JK Knives forum. I've missed some cool stuff. Like....special edition tweeners and patches...damn!

I haven't been a long time member but i am a Beckerhead.

Since Moose gave me a beckerhead number and then i just disappeared, i felt that i owed the BK forum an explanation.

I've been looking to my Father who is on his throne wondering whats been up? I can guess all evening about the what's and why's, it doesn't matter. He might just be softening me a bit (i do have a tendency to be an arrogant ass at times). He and I talk more now. I spend more time with my wife and children now (instead of buying guns and knives). I'll buy more later on.

Hang in there man. We screwed up crew can be a welcome relief from your daily stresses.

Sounds like you are staying very positive. Will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and hoping for all the best.

Good to see you back around.

Hope all goes well, positive energy heading your way.

Moose

Sounds rough man, but as Renegade already said glad your staying positive. Most don't understand how amazing staying positive and not giving up can be for your health especially when something like this happens. Not saying it will but if one doctor tells you something bad, get a second opinion, and then after that a third. Not saying keeping going tell you hear what you want but you would be amazed how often one doc will tell you something horrible and there is no hope, then another will look at you, do some tests and tell you the complete opposite and be right. Never give up, stay upbeat, and stay safe good sir.

Glad to see you back! I don't know if I would be able to stay as positive as you are in that situation. Either way, good luck, and all our best wishes!

The "limited edition" tweeners were the first production run, which Smoky Mountain Knife Works has the run of. They are a bit pricier though. The patches Uncle Weirdbeard has, and he will send some your way if you mail him a self addressed stamped envelope.

Sounds like you're in the right state of mind to handle it. Hang in there and keep us posted.

Yeah.....i'm a little worried but good for the most part. My wife is waaay upset. And my 15 yr old daughter is mildly upset. My 2 little ones won't be told.
