So I figured I'd start one:D These little little fixed blades are starting to knock my folders out of my EDC rotation.

I finally got my trade, and scored a real nice BRKT Mikro Canadian II. This one has Rhodesian Teak scales and Mosaic pins. I was surprised how well the knife fits my hand considering how small it is. This one has been rotating with my PSK as my general use EDC.

I also recieved my Mini Canadian pocket sheath from Ron Ryder, of Backroom Leather. THis is one very nicely made sheath. This will let me clip the Mini canadian to my inside pocket of my work jeans. The Mini canadian will be my work EDC as soon as my layoff is over.

I also found a cheapo carry method for the PSK and Mikro. I picked up a cheapo key chain from K-Mart. It has a pleather belt loop with a snap, to clip it around my belt, with ~2" of chain and a clasp. I can now clip the keychain to my Mikro and PSK Kydex sheath and drop it in my front pocket. This allows me to pull out the knife and thumb off the kydex sheath, securing the sheath while I use my knife. It gives me the ability to operate the knife one handed, without having to hold the sheath. This also works well with the Leather sheath that came with the Mikro, It keeps the sheath upright in my front pocket, and doesn't allow it to flop all over my pocket. The best part is that it only cost me $1.50
Heres a group photo of my Barkies:

Now that is a sweet sheath for your mini. I might have to get one of those for my Mikro II. Thanks for the heads-up on Backroom Leather!

If I'm not carrying my slippie then its a BRK&T Mikro Slither. I loved the Mikro Canadian, but ending up trading it down the road to acquire the slither. There is so much cutting power in those little barkies, everyone should have one.

get in touch with Ron at Backroom Leather and he'll hook you up. He will pretty much put it together just the way you want it. I will likely get one similar for my Mikro as well...once I'm back to work of course.

I was a folder guy until I started aquiring these little Barkies. Now these little knives are finding there way into my pockets ALOT more than the folders. These little guys are perfect EDC's, with a nice legal blade length, and don't let the size fool ya, these are some heavy use knives! I want to add a Tiger stripe Little Creek and a Lil Tusk to my small collection in the not so distant future.

I have the PSK and never saw a need to get the Micro because they are just too close in size for me, the Mini keeps calling my name though:D
Love the sheath and that is one very pretty Micro:thumbup:

Nice knives, All! Good to have the BRK&T Thread back. And---My Woodland SPL. is on it's way here! Red linen, round pommel and Kydex. WOO WOO!!

I had a PSK and it was a model I just didn't like. I really felt that the scales were way to thin for me hold comfortably, the mikro canadian really feels great in the hand and if I have another oppertunity to get one I will.

Nice knives, I really like my BRKTs. What's the middle one?

Unfortunately, in CA. you can't put a fixed blade in your pocket- no matter how small it is, it must show or it's a concealed weapon. You can, of course carry a 10" folder in your pocket legally- nice accompaniment to our make-no-sense gun laws.

MVF - - I know what you mean. Its the same in my state - - except when doing outdoor activities like hunting & fishing. Would love to use a little fixed blade as an EDC, like one of those Barkies. - - I do have a little knife made by custom maker Ed Caffrey with a sheath that can be used for neck carry or horizontal carry on a belt but I only use that when on my own place. - - -

I have always found it interesting that I can carry a two foot long folder concealed, but a concealed half inch fixed blade will get me arrested. Of course, I can legally carry a sword as long as it is not concealed.

What do ya me by too close in size????? The Mikro is a 1/4" shorter:D:D

The PSK is my "beater" while the Mikro is my gents knife...just a bit more refined...especially with the Teak and Mosaic pins.

Thanks...Can't wait too see pics of your Woodland SPL. when you get it. I'm also looking forward to seeing that friction folder your having made... it is really sparking my curiosity.

Davereb---Thanks!! I'll post the Barkie Woodland asap. Chuck G. is starting the Friction folder next week. THAT, is going to be a cool knife.

I'm in Ohio and concealed carry is also illegal here as well. I don't think these BRKT's are anymore concealed than my folders that clip too my pocket. I'm just going to print BUCK on my belt loop so there's no confusion:D. Luckily there isn't any wording on the books statewide or locally mentioning fixed blades, and the blade lengths except for the Mini Canadian, are within the stricter municipalty guidelines of 2.5".

Hey Dave, thanks for providing that comparison picture in your original post, very handy indeed. Yeah, the PSK isn't going to win any beauty contest against the Mini, yours is classy for sure:thumbup:
