Been Gone Awhile. Whats Up With The Bussmucks???

They're not out yet. Haven't heard of them in a while. But then, I'm not interested in any 'muks. Never did like the Nessmuk type knife design at all.

The pictures he showed were just protos, that could be what the knife will look like, or it could look completely different, you never know with Jerry. He said the folder proto he had back in 2003 looks a hella different than the proto he has now.

What do you me IF? Is there a possibility there never coming out?

If you take away the nostalgia of owning a "nessmuck" because that is what George Sears carried... explain the use of such a funky shaped blade. I just don't see any reason for a big hump-bladed knife. How is it better for any particular task than a 'normal', more strait forward blade shape. I suppose the edge would be good for skinning.... but other than that... I just don't understand the design.

If George Sears were alive today, with the variety of knives we have available, he would undoubtedly choose a different, more functional design. I'm thinking probably a SAR5, or an old school MS or badger. What do you guys think?

I like the size of it and handle alot, plus its down right beautiful!

I went to that link i am not the best with blue print stuff, but what kind of lock was that? It looked kinda like a Axis lock/bearing lock...

Yep, very similar to axis. But supposedly it is different enough not to be infringing the patents of the Benchmade axis.

Oh the horror! Infringing on the axis lock and the spydie hole in the same knife. The forums will be ablaze!

Edited to add, I am just kidding, I really don't want to sit through another round of that argument in this lifetime. Going back in my corner now.

Pete
