Here's another forged blade, sitting in my workshop waiting to be finished, so I answered the call. I use both metal and synthetic for the guards; its tougher than what most poeple think and it does change the balance of the knife. This one is unusual - 1095 and no hamon ... . The wood is stabilised Queensland Red Cirrus which had to be left for 8 months because there must be some agent in the wood that prevented proper curing. It has now fully cured. Thanks for looking.

I need some sleep. Jason.

What beautiful wood. This looks to be a very practical design. Fancying it up with that wood and a little filework is a nice touch.
