Becker Knife and TOOL...

We all know about the knives, but has Ethan designed any tools? I mean non-knife tools?

He has designed some climbing equipment, and some military gear...but I think the ''Tool'' part of BK&T is more to signify his knives ARE working tools and not just show knives. But I don't know a whole lot LOL so don't take my word for it.

I tell ya, if someone made a precision screwdriver set that wasn't junk and used some non-proprietary bits, and could store everything in the handle without being ridiculously huge, I would take ten of 'em in a heartbeat. Or an adjustable wrench.

I think it would be pretty sweet if the boss took a try at various tools, he knows pretty well what kinda hijinks we get ourselves into and would have a good mind for what would work well for our kind.

A BK&T multi-tool ''leatherman'' style would be SWEET! I would buy a couple! I'm sure Ethan could design one way better then anything currently on the market!

While I think he could make an AWESOME multi-tool, a company like Leatherman has been perfecting it for a lonnnggg time and has worked a lot of kinks out, it would be hard to outshine them there.

That said, I'd buy a couple right up, pre-order even. Ooh how about a special one that has specific tools for bushcrafting and is made to fit PERFECTLY in a tweener pouch?

Yeah man I can dig it. It would be the only multi-tool on the market with a firesteel and allen wrenches to fit Becker Bolts.

He was just trying to make the BK3 feel good. It gets upset sometimes because it doesn’t really feel like a knife.
To be serious, knives are tools. Tools can be knives. I would consider something like batoning to be a tool task where as cutting would be a knife task. His product can do both with ease. Just my 2-cents.

You guys are overthinking this.
A BK&T bottle opener is all that's needed.
Oh wait, he already did that!! sweeet.

Sawbacked Bk4...the Mashaw....with a screw driver in the handle...Hell to the yeah

I think a Becker multi-tool with a marlinspike, a leather punch, a normal punch (for disassembling shotguns and such), a couple of hard-use blades, Allen keys for all the Becker scales, a bottle-opener, a firesteel, and can opener, would be too awesome for words. A perfect bush tool for Beckerheads.

u forgot pliers. The pliers is about all I use on a multi-tool. Unless ur thinkin more of a SAK then a Leatherman style tool?

BKT Multi-Tool with swappable firesteels (one end would be threaded to screw into the socket, you can order refill 'cartridges' from Moosez Bladez) would be rad!

I'm with Moose on this one. The BK-3 is a pry bar more than a knife. Okay, it's a sharpened pry bar, make that a very sharp flat pry bar with a really good handle. Granted that knives are cutting tools, and we usually break them when we try to use a cutting tool as a prying tool. I'm guessing that with his knack for marketing, Ethan named his company Becker Knife & Tool because a) it sounded better/cooler than just Becker Knives, and b) he intended to design some cool tools, too. So far that's been limited to the BK-3 and the back end of the BK-11 under the BK&T brand, but he has designed climbing tools, including the CMI Figure 8 Descender, and the Becker Patrol Pack. I'd REALLY like to hear Ethan's thoughts on this. Got your ears on, Ethan? We'd love to hear the back story.

As far as I'm concerned, he has only designed "tools" so far. knives, backpack, climbing gear.....heck, knives are very important tools, I would argue that the knife was our first tool as a race on earth. And the most important after microwavable pizza.
