Been working on a BK 2 :)

Really nice work. I'm curious if you convexed the edge by hand or belt sander? Of all the methods it seems by hand gonna take some time. Especially on a 2.

lookin good! i convexed my bk2 with the worksharp, super easy and takes no time

Thanks for the gracious comments - the scales are made of Padauk wood (which I had never heard of). I stripped it using a product called Citristrip - comes in a spray can and was really easy. I worked on the blade first with a belt sander using a 2000 grit belt sparingly, then sandpaper strips glued to wood (like a strop) in 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit and then polished it with Mothers. Some guys have convexed the blade all the way to the spine but lost all the identification on the blade (or at least compromised it) and their blades are really spectacular as seen on a recent thread. But I wanted to preserve all the markings so mine is a bit of a compromise.
