Who likes beer!

I just got back into home brewing and am having a lot of fun, I thought I'd share a few pics.

If you brew or drink beer post some pics! :D recipes, etc too!

Grain together for a batch... my main 2-row Barley and some specialty grains for more flavor and color. I was making a Brown Ale.

My hand grinder!

Here is a batch in early form, the grain has been malted and then ground.

Here's the recipe I made up for the Brown Ale.

Fuggles Brown Ale

10# 2 Row (extract brewers can use about 6# light DME)
1# Crystal 60
1/2# Crystal 120 (for more depth and a mild burnt raisin type of flavor)
3 oz Chocolate Malt

60 min - 1.5 oz Kent Goldings Hops; 1/2 oz Fuggles Hops
5 min - 1/2 oz Fuggles

Safale S-04 Yeast

Here's a Belgian Dark Strong Ale that I designed; it came out great! I made this a ways back back; it lasted a few years and just kept on getting better! If you like Chimay Blue this is one to try.

Belgian Dark Strong Ale - extract version

steeped...

1# Special B
1/2# Caramunich
1/2# Crystal 20

8.8# light DME
2# deep amber candi sugar (I have a recipe for this too)

90 min - 1.5 oz Saaz Hops; 1 oz Sterling Hops
30 min - 1/2 oz Saaz Hops

Safbrew S-33 Yeast

Bottle with lots of sugar for high carbonation and use strong botttles! I used 164g of corn sugar for priming.

Been homebrewing for a year - loads of fun and makes the house smell great.

I'll be doing a cream ale tomorrow, and then working on an imperial stout for the winter.

Nice! I really enjoy both styles. I'd like to make a big Imperial Stout this winter, sounds great!

I was really into brewing a few years ago and am having a lot of fun with it again.

I love me a good Imperial Stout! Just took this pic for the beer and blades thread.

I'd love to get into home brewing but for now I'll just drink it! This is a fantastic brew BTW, I highly recommend it.
