Well the Buck 112 ranger is definitely a great knife to have.

As far as everything else in this thread, well I guess this forum is like a box of chocolates " ya never know watcha gonna get ".

I love the Buck 110 and 112, beautiful knives. They're different from a lot of modern large folders. I was comparing my Spyderco Endura to my 110 the other day. The 110 has a much thicker handle that's also more narrow, together with that narrow, hollow ground blade. All of it's features make it more suitable to fit in the belt pouch that comes with it, especially since the knife is pretty much the same width all over when closed. The Endura is much flatter and wider and much more uneven in profile, with the wide FFG blade and thumb hole sticking out. It's clearly designed from the bottom up with clipped pocket carry in mind. The light weight also makes it better for the pocket.

I don't use pocket clips myself, so I decided to build a custom, molded leather belt sheath for my Endura. It turned out pretty good, but I was forced to make it very wide and since the knife is much wider around the pivot end, you can only stick it in one way. Clearly not what the knife is made for, but it works :). The 110 and 112 on the other hand are a bit too heavy to carry in the pant pocket, but I still like the solid brass frame.
