A small P arrived today with the usual wear & tear. I can keep it like it is,
or send it in for a Spa treatment.
The second pic is another small P that's been to the Spa.

Here's your chance to vote.
Spa:thumbup: or no Spa:thumbdn:.

I agree. Lots of character in that natural handle wear. Nice grabs, Sir.

Prof.

I'd probably get the handle worked on, but definitely not the blade. If they refurb the blade, then CR will put on a new style thumbstud.

Great score. btw. I saw that pop up and am glad someone here snagged it.

I'd personally keep the whole thing as is. I think all that genuine use marks over the years really add nice character to the knife. It's like "brassed" black paint Leica. :D

I'd leave it as it is. I'm getting more pleased as my EDC Small Sebenza comes closer to looking, "well worn".

And I thought that was my own little fish pond.:D

What I don't understand is why they couldn't heat the blade a bit & push out
the thumblug without damage. I have a knife with a new blade coming home
soon, so I might try to do this as an experiment.

I'd probably keep it as is for a while.....especially since you have a spa treated one. Nice to have a little sampling of both.

As long as the blade is still sharp, why send it in?

I have a large Sebenza that I just sent in several weeks ago, got it back last week...kinda glad I did send it in for a spa treatment and sand blasting of the frame and original clip. It's VERY sharp (BG-42). I got mine used but got it back brand spanking new. Sorry no pics, yet. I would have had it in for just the sharpening but since it was there... :)

I don't know your intentions for this one,but-I like the worn look on a Sebenza. If you send it in and carry it it will just get marked up again. My vote would be no spa.

Looks pretty decent. Wouldn't bother me, but sort of like the looks of a well used knife.
