.......for a Chris Reeve knife (preferably a Seb) made on 09-23-08 (my daughters birthday), can anyone confirm if any exist? I contacted the shop a while back and they said they didn't keep records of that but since it was a week day, it was quite possible.

Anybody have any advice to help me find one?

That was a tuesday, so something might have shipped out that day. That is a tough time period to nail down models, in 2008 they started the 21 and discontinued the classic and regular but I am not sure exactly when. The Umnum and Mnandi were out and the ORP was till being produced as well. That is a lot of knives to sort through.
 
I think it is very possible such a knife exist, but that is going to be one hard search( for someone who owns that exact day to want to sell and for you to see it, much less be the buyer). I have'nt yet seen one with my birth month and day. Good luck
 
I just checked all of mine for you and the closest I came was Oct 10, 2008. It is a Small 21 so if you go Sebenza it will probably be in the 21 series. There may have been overlap with different series, I don't know, but at least it seems the 21 was available then.

Well if it makes you feel better, i once saw an Umnum for sale here on BF with my exact birthday....i had to do a double take. Put your request in your signature line, maybe that will help your search:) good luck

The annuals from that year came out in November, so it does look like an early 21 is your best bet.
 
Checked my stash and don't have a date to match - sorry.

I believe stjames is correct that was about the time of the cutover to the 21's. I have a small 21 I ordered from CRK and it's DOB is August 8, 2008.
