Before I took apart a knife it had great lockup and blade centering, now it doesn't

Hi, I took apart a knife and put it back together, but now the blade centering and lock up (liner lock) aren't the same. It is the same knife and now in order to make the blade centered I have to have the pivot too tight for smooth opening. Anyone know why this happened? how do I fix it? Any tips would be welcome. Thanks.
