I am a beginner lloking for general information on the following topics.

What kind of steel should I be using?
What are the ways I can fix a blade to a Deer antler as a handle?

I myself being a beginner recommend as many books and magazines as possible. Its also good to go through old posts on the forums archives and read ones that interest you. As you go on one by one they'll all start to interest you. Once you have some general techniques from the books it helps to establish more speciic questions on knife styles, techniques, materials, and other processes. You might also want to put up a post to see if there are any smiths in your area willing to show you around shop and let you pick their brain for a while. Good Luck!
