Beginner's Guide to Sharpening

Hello,

I've been reading for a couple hours and have tried to search, but am not satisfied... I'm a complete newb when it comes to blade maintenance. I've been carrying and using my Spyderco Native for awhile and feel it's time to sharpen. Can you point me to some threads here or other online resources for a very basic beginner's guide to getting started in sharpening? I don't know much about tools, technique, anything.
