Recently, I saw a Benchmade Taurus striker (special edition 9130), that I was going to bid on - Ebay. But, it has gone up to 179 or so with a day left, and I'm sad to say it's out of my range probably. What is it worth, and what would be a reasonable bid for it? I want to get an estimation of how much I should fork out so I don't get ripped off. I REALLY, REALLY like the knife, and would love to have it before I go overseas. I would like to buy it to start a collection.
The first knife I bought (of any importance) was while I was in my Advanced Individual Training in Maryland for the Army. It is a CRKT M16-13M and I love the model, and even picked up a M16-12LE for my dad (who doesn't use it, so I confiscated it,
. But, I would really like to start with a Benchmade and move onto more of a dagger/double-edged avenue. I towards Sog's Daggert 1, Seal Pup Elite, Seal Revolver Tini, and their "Bowie" or "Tech Bowie" models.
I'm going to enquire about my best friend's uncle's who make the somewhat known FEHRMAN KNIVES of http://www.fehrmanknives.com because as I've seen them and their product in person at their shop in SE Ohio, they are truly amazing knives.
I was also looking at Benchmade's Presidio fixed blade which looks like an awesome blade as well as some of the Spyderco, Kershaw, and Combat Elite models as well.
Would anyone happen know where I could find a Benchmade 9130 Taurus or even the standard model if by chance I cannot outbid the others who want it on Ebay? Like I said, it would be of great use overseas...
