Is there a book or a small selection of books that would be a good starting point for learning to make knife sheaths?

The Art of Making Leather Cases, Volume One by Al Stohlman. I believe it's a must have for anyone that's into leather working.
You can find it on the bay or at Tandy Leather stores.

Thanks - Lots of good info to get me started. My primary interest is in making thin and relatively stiff leather holsters for traditional slippies that will hold the knife upright in my front or back pocket. My EDCs tend to be about 4" closed and when they work their way sideways in the bottom of my pocket it can be a hassle to get them out - plus the unintended contact with junk I might inadvertantly throw into that same pocket.

Here's one I made for that very purpose, except this one was for the back pocket....the customer wanted the leather to pretty much fill out the pocket, so he told me how wide to make it, and he wanted to make sure the knife was at the right place when he reached for it....last report it was working out just fine for him.
