Beginning my CRK collection

Well I am just getting into CRK's. I am absolutely in love with the craftsmanship put into these knives. With the few I own, I have not found one thing that I dislike about the knives (well maybe the price, wish they were cheaper so I could buy more). Anyway.. I am curious which knife the other CRK nuts would pick up next?. I have been eyeballing the Tanto Zaan, Regular Sebenza, or possibly something in Damascus(I have not handle any of those). I know some people would say "get em all" but my wallet can't handle that at this moment unfortunately ....but there is room for one.

Disclamer: The Zaan in the picture is my son's, he is only one so it will be a while before I give it to him.(Same month and year of his birth)

Since I "only" have 4 CRKs, yours looks like more than a beginning collection to me. But maybe consider a small 21 Insingo to shake things up. Highly utilitarian, easy in the pocket, and with all of the flavor your have come to expect from CRK.

I think that might be an outstanding choice, would fill the role between the mnandi, mainly my Sunday knife and the others. Thank you for your input Sir!

You are welcomed. I find that spending other people's money is quite easy. I also suggested it because I want one myself. I have a small 21 with the traditional blade profile, and its a great EDC knife.

Stellar collection!

I agree with the above suggestion, a Small 21 Insingo would be a great addition.

I have a small insingo micarta and find myself edc that blade more than any other!

Well I am seeing a pattern here... It looks like a small insingo is in my future. Thanks guys for the input!

I fixed your post :D

That is a worthy fix.

Love all my micarta sebs..Don't have the Micarta 25, but that has more to do with aesthetics. Not a fan of the new inlays I guess.

Thanks for the correction there.. agreed on the small micarta. As far as the 25 Micarta, I was definitely on the fence about the looks. It looks a lot better in person, in my opinion anyway..

Hey thanks for the picture comparison! A small micarta will definitely be the next purchase. Now on a side note biggerjon, just out of curiosity, do you find yourself carrying your 25 or large 21 more?

I agree with the small 21 route for the next one. Here is a size compare for you:

That's a great looking collection! I have a few and will likely pick up a large and small micarta Insingos soon. I do have a new style Zaan that is not in the pictures.

That's a sweet collection. I really like the mnandi!

Nice start to your collection. Be assured, you will always find another one you want. For a while I was seeing knives everyday I wanted, but, thankfully, it has slowed down and I seem to be finding what my tastes really are. While a little pricey, the quality of the CRK knives is exceptional and I believe they are one of the nicer looking styles. I also appreciate the customer service and the "family" you find here. Enjoy your knives!

You need a full TI Mnandi to make that complete. What a cool collection you have there.

Currently, I carry the 25 more. Almost everyday. I do not carry it because I think it is better, I carry it because my lovely wife bought it for me. If it weren't for her, the 21 would be in my pocket the most. They are both amazing knives, but at the end of the day it just comes down to personal preference. They both have their advantages.

Gatta say a small 21 for the next. Any variant really, except a tanto I guess...they're hard to find anyway. Maybe a nice CCG? You can take the clip off and pocket it like a Sunday knife. Then throw it back on and clip it during the week! I almost never notice my 21 in my pocket. Great edc blade when a large 21 25 or Zaan is just to much for the "sheepol"

A 21 large or small. I also have several 25's and love them. If you like the 25 that much, wait for a bit on the Damascus. The 25 is going to come with a Damascus blade. Two birds with one stone. :)
