I too am digging the more symmetrical pin layout. Still think it looks like fish scales and would make a cool redfish pattern on one of the Production blade blanks after getting reground.

lots of grinding to be done today.

The first step to grinding the bevels is grinding a 45 degree angle.

Allen is doing the pre-heat treat grinds.

One of the most important steps. Making sure the scales are flat. They will get flattened again just before they are glued on.

There is 60grit sandpaper under there somewhere. Always clock/counter clockwise. The most important thing to remember is consistent pressure over the whole scale.

I believe Ivy fell asleep sitting up. She looks out the window into the shop all the time waiting on Andy.

The shadetree looks it might be emerald (lighter than evergreen), although it's hard to be sure from the picture's distance/lighting.
