Behind The Scenes @ Fiddleback Forge

Just a friendly reminder these knives are for “Preview” not “Pre-sale”.

Allen is checking on the latest batch of biltong and the guard dogs are there in hopes that some hits the floor.

The guys are drilling & Allen is heat treating.

Shout out to my compdre at the “Bullseye station”

To borrow one of Alayna's phrases that shot is really satisfying to me too. So many colored particles in it.

I was taking something out to the dumpster and looking into the very small wooded area between our shop and some others up on the hill

i noticed a small pine tree that might make for a cool knife rest

I was about 1/2 way up the hill taking that pic when I heard the sound of a door unlocking. As I turned to see who/what it was...A lady & I locked eyes..her's turned about the size of a bottle cap & she slammed the door and locked it back..hahahaha

one sold at BLADE a year or 2 ago and the other was donated to Doug Ritter @ Knife Rights. He auctioned it off.

I'm super confused by pictures 6-8. The Bullseye holes are being drilled, but the chamfered end of the scales extend passed the guards and into the blade edge. This may just be something I've never noticed before, but can you shed some light on this?

yes, at that point in the process the scales extend out past the guard. This allows Kyle to shape the fronts and tops of the scales exactly to the grind and the guard.

in the pic below you can see where Cody was marking on the scales where he wanted to grind off the excess based on the grind

***dang...after searching through the BTS Fotki file, it was like I knew someone would ask this at some point
