Just a friendly reminder these knives are for “Preview” not “Pre-sale”.

I apologize for the delay. We have been very busy getting a New-Hire trained up and I haven't had the normal downtime that I use to take these pics.

More to come as time permits..

I always enjoy this thread. I suspect a whole lotta osage will be coming our way soon.

Well, if you save me from that trouble I may just cry, but I would probably be better off lol

Well, if one comes up I'll snag it and hold it for you until you're ready.

It's taking my computer so long to post for some reason.

What pattern is that knife blank being held vertically in the wooden slot stand? (Blocked by the white plastic squeeze bottle) It looks like it might actually have a clipped-point profile?

Those are some big slabs of Osage shown in the photos... Is it the domestic variety or sourced from South America?

From what I can tell it looks like the Lonestar EDC. A clip point EDC II.

Im not sure where it's from. Maybe Andy or Allen can chime in.

lol. I could've quoted you twice Mist! :D

Yeah, I should probably watch myself lol.

That would be awesome. I am trying to buy all of the knives I need for this project. Kinda hrad to ask someone if I can borrow there knife so it can get an odd patina while I sort out the angle of a shot I want :D

they are Gauchos. I will have to check on the thickness.

Cool, an Osage Gaucho in 1/8 would be really sweet for what I am going for. I'm really glad none showed up this week! :)

Great shop photos, you guys should be tossing these up on the @FiddlebackForge Instagram on the regular, the knife community there would enjoy them

I can imagine the heat/humidity. I assume speedos and a misting fan are a no go with OSHA

If I walked in the shop one day and the guys were all in speedos I'm not sure whether I would start the video or just quietly walk away... :)

Well I did think about that pattern... But then I thought it might be a somewhat larger blank size? Also the camera angle/distance and the obstructing squeeze bottle makes it hard to gauge size/scale.

I'm almost certain, that is a W.A. Surles knife

That thought crossed my mind as well... Possibly being either Surls or Fletcher?

I believe Andy currently has only has two clip-pint patterns... Lonestar and Bullfrog Bowie.

So Philip... With regards to those big slabs of Osage Orange that the Forge just got into the shop?? (What type?)

There seem to be two different species of Osage tree wood:

Domestic OO: http://www.wood-database.com/lumber-.../osage-orange/

Imported AOO: http://www.wood-database.com/argentine-osage-orange/

EDIT: Thanks for clarification update on the knife and wood type!
