Behold the power of INFI (again)

thanks Walking Hog, very interesting...

i recently blasted a badger III and it was the toughest damned thing i ever saw! i have blasted many of my busse's using 140 sieve silica or aluminum oxide @ 100+ pounds of pressure followed by a blasting of glass beads @ around 30 to 40 lbs to peen and seal the finish. BUT this particular one was one tough SOB!

i do not give my users any special care at all, i use them and sheath them. if they have peanut butter on them i just wipe on my Levi's and put away.

if they have been used to dress game i still just wipe and sheath, later after i have my scotch i might toss it in with the dinner dishes for washing. i do not oil them unless theres an oily gun rag handy in which case i may give the blade a wiping.

the case for rust has never been an issue for me and i believe a blade of any kind is prettier with a nice patina from years of carry and use.

besides.... tell me why we should buy knives, keep them all nice and pretty, then DIE just to have our kids pawn them a day after your funeral ;) god forbid....

IMHO, i would rather trash them myself:cool:  :D
