What a great couple of guys at Behring in Missoula MT. I now can visit Ruana and Behring on a regular basis. These are absolutley beautifully made blades. Sanbar stag and A1 tool steel. Need to build one more sheath.
Just thought i would share.

Beautiful knives. I've been tempted many times by their work. One day I'll pull the trigger!

I save their pictures on Instagram into my "Must Get" folder all the time. They're incredible.

Seems appropriate to revive this thread based on my most recent acquisition...

This is just about knife perfection for me. Blade shape is a lovely and useful 3.5", handle feels absolutely perfect, and it's made of some really neat materials (desert ironwood and walrus ivory, reflects my love for the desert and the far north).
I have two other Behring Made knives, but this is the most expensive knife I've bought by far, ever. Life is too short to not use a beautiful knife, and while I thought I'd break the knife in on a camping trip to Kings Canyon next month, those plans were scrapped thanks to COVID. So, this weekend I set up the tent in the backyard and had a 'camping trip' with my 2, 4 and 6 year old. For dinner we cooked pork tenderloins over the grill and I 'broke in' the new knife. Pork does add a nice patina to the O1 steel.
