So this morning being tired and all I grabbed my sebenza. I then proceeded to take my knife apart to check on what I thought was the lock face chipping last time I disassembled it. Grabbed my swisschamp magnifying glass and looked and its just surface scratches from the factory on the corner towards the pocket clip side. I can love with that. I then checked how lubricated the washers were. Where does it all go?! I took the knife down piece by piece, then looked at the lanyard. It was fraying worse than I thought inside. So I did what I wouldn't have done if I was fully awake. I took it apart... On top of that I snipped a piece off, fed it through the lanyard pin and heated it up. Then balled each side. Well, I guess that gets rid of that lanyard. The knife is all back together with new grease and such, I just hope I don't regret the lanyard removal, although I would rather have done that than lost the pin. Oh well.

Gutted 550 cord will fit. Cut/burn it at an angle and you ca work it through the pin. If you look on the TNK site you will see all of the fancy ones done like this.

Honestly, the knife feels 100% better to me without a lanyard. It feels like a totally different knife. Maybe it's because I have large hands and the lanyard would make a weird lump in my hand, I have no idea, but I'm glad it's gone. If I made another lanyard, I would want it to somehow be out of the way. The lanyard pin for the small sebby won't fit the large, will it?

Nope.
