Alrighty folks, it has come to my attention that I have already past my thousandth post, but what the heck, giveaway contest anyways! Up for grabs is this leather BK2 scout carry sheath made by MyWifeThinksImCrazy that he sent to me the other day. I am not generally a fan of leather, but this thing is so well made, it ALMOST made me change my mind. It is a great looking piece of leather work, and will serve whomever wins it well for a long time. It looks like the stitching got away from him a bit there on the back, but who cares, that is the side no one is going to see anyway.
So, what is the contest?
Part 1.
Sometime in the last 7-8 months, there was a thread posted of someone's new sheath. It was for a big knife, and it was leather lined kydex. That's right, leather, inside of the kydex. I had it bookmarked, but at some point it got deleted. So, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find me the info as well as the picture of that sheath. The thread would be even better.
Part 2.
At some point within the same time frame, there was a picture of a drop leg carry sheath someone had posted that had not only their becker knife, but also other attachments on the leg straps. Pouches and whatnot. It was crazy awesome, and I want to see it again. Find me that pic.
Rules:
One post per person. Keep your entries in your post. (You can edit your post as needed with as many pics as you can fit in it.) If there is a tie, i.e. two people post the same pics, it will go to random number, and your post number will be yours. Sorry, but lower 48 States only as far as contestants go. Contest is open to regulars and Mods alike. APO Addresses work too.
Hints:
For part 1, I believe the sheath was gray kydex and the leather inside it was orange-ish in color. It may have been for a Busse knife.
For part 2, I think I found it by following a link from another thread I had ended up in. I am pretty sure the whole drop leg thing was black, and pretty sure it had two leg straps. Not 100%, but pretty close. I am also pretty sure it was a Becker knife, more than likely a BK2 or BK7.
Contest will run for one week, meaning at my bedtime next Wednesday, I will close it down and let everyone know who won. If I don't see the two pics I want, I will settle for ones of similar things that look cool enough to distract me from not seeing what I wanted initially. No, it wasn't leather outside of the kydex, it was leather inside of it. I will more than likely toss some other odds and ends in the package too.
