This is an update to my previous post here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/890105-Belgian-Gas-Mask-Bag?p=10086722#post10086722

I got this Belgian gas mask bag specifically to carry my twig stove set up in. As you can see, there was still room at the top:

I got a new 12cm Zebra pot, hoping it would fit on top:

It was a no go, by a long shot:

Then I just wanted to see how the Zebra pot would fit on the twig stove. It fit on top of it, but wouldn't fit inside, on the tent pegs. But, good enough:

Then the idea came across my mind, to see if the stove would fit in the billy pot. Yes it did, like it was made for it:

Doesn't get much better than that:

Then, of course, my GSI cup fits in the stove:

And my Guyot bottle inside the cup:

And yes, it did still fit in the bag:

The insert pan fits nicely on top:

With still over an inch to spare:

The contents in my bag. Complete Zebra pot, stove, 38oz. Guyot bottle, GSI cup, pot lifter, Scotch brite pads, fatwood, and titanium tent stakes. All in all, a nice little kit.

Nice! I really like the color of that bag. What do they call that color again ;)

Haha Nick, you know I'm an olive drab freak. :D I have a few more ideas for it, but that will be awhile off. I need to use the damn thing. I won this in the contest from Snakedoc some time ago, and never used it. This stuff is way too shiny/ ;)

Ahh.. you punk! ;)

You better use it or I'll tell him you aren't :D

You got that scotch brite......

Thats a sweet bag!

Do you plan on using it as a "carry alone" type set-up or are you bagging it inside a pack?

Either way, i'll be google-ing a "Belgian Gas Mask Bag" ASAP!

Thanks. Both ways actually. I was thinking of finding a smaller bag, and sewing it to the side for perhaps a little extra food, etc. I didn't try, but I think a Ramen noodle would still fit on top.

I'm liking it as a carry-case for a .5ltr Kelly Kettle..... "Father's Day" is just around the corner!!!

I see some leather on the back side of the bag - does that go around the entire edge? I saw some pics on the 'net, but nothing that showed that particular detail...

Thanks for posting up another pic!

It's a great looking sack that's for sure - durable plus a couple pockets for pitchwood, etc. Great find!

This should be an ad for scotch-brite, I wish my gear looked that clean. ;) I noticed one of these bags at my local surplus store today, picked it up for $10, im gonna use it for the same thing, my small msr pot and Escort 1L bottle just barely fit, but it did fit.

It's clean because it's never been used, unfortunately.

Just wondered, how did you cut the stoke hole in your Ikea stove, dremel? Only I'd be a bit worried about bending the metal using a saw or tinsnips.

I won this in a contest Snakedoc had. He would have to tell ya.
