Belgian laws...

Ok, I did some research regarding knife laws here in Belgium. I started searching for which kind of weapons/knives are considered illegal, but to my surprise, balisongs are not mentioned as illegal, just the other nice stuff, like shuriken, gravity knives, daggers, automatic knives... The strangest thing about it is that you can't sell, import, export, make them, or carry them, but you can have them at your house (so how the hell do you get one in your house without breaking the law?).
The BIG problem is that 99% of the people think balisong are illegal, and to make things worse, a guy in a knifeshop told me "they" are going to change the laws so that balisong will get illegal too.

This is common in American law too. Basically, it allows people who already have them to retain them as keepsakes. So, if you have the switchblade knife that your great grandfather used in WW2, well, ok, you can keep that, for example.

I'd watch out, some laws consider Balisongs as "gravity knives".

Balis ARE in the gravity knife category,in fact, they are the category ! (except for few ones as the german paratooper knife)...

It's like that here in Sweden to. You can't import, export or carry them, but you can own them.

BUT, when my friend (Harding) asked how it is in Sweden, they told him what I wrote above, but they also told him that they had a guy asking them the same thing, and he figured out that companies CAN import them legally, so if it's a gift from a company it's OK. (Here in Sweden), I don't know if it's the same thing in Belgium.

I'm going to start a company to import them...

We can't make them but can we only assemble them?
We can't import and sell them, but can we import and sell the parts?
