Believe it or not here's a blem by Bura. I think! Bargain time anyway. Pix.

Here is a 16.5 inch, 1/2 inch thick, 2.25 pound chiruwa Ang Khola made and marked by Bura. This is a great knife for big guys with big hands -- heavy and 6 inch handle so you can hang onto it and swing it full force. The fit is pretty good except the buff slabs have shrunken just a tiny bit. A little epoxy or five minutes of careful work on the grinder will fix the handle. The finish is very good.

Hardness is 59 - 60 Rc but there is a very slight problem with the edge. It looks like Bura's hand shook just slightly and put a very slight wave in the edge. It's hard to see unless you look three times but I am pretty sure I can see a slight variation and that's the primary reason it went into the blem box. Most people would sell this off as a first line item but not HI.

Scabbard is not made by the sarki with no name but is acceptable and the frog is a 75 year HI superfrog.

Take this rig for $75 delivered to your door. If you are big and strong see if you can break it because it comes with the HI guarantee which bets you can't.

Call or email if interested.

Good choice Josh,
You won't regret it. I saw this a few minutes ago, but I'm trying to save up for a special order - you've saved me.

Bura is the Royal kami, and, from everything I've read, does exceptional work. Some day I hope I can own one of his Kothimodas.

I've got two Bura's and they are both awesome! You cannot go wrong with his work.

Wow, really nice knife. Nice package, and a deal as a blem, Uncle Bill. Congratulation Josh.

That's a nice first khukuri.

You'll love it. Uncle Bill isn't pulling your leg when he says that anybody else would sell it as a first. If you simply hung it on the wall most people would think it was made primarily to be decorative. It's a beauty!

I now have to officialy admit to having HIKV. I keep coming back to this forum to look at the picture of the khuk I just bought. It gives me goose bumps.
