My middle daughter is going off to college and asked me for a good knife to take along

I wanted to do something special so I asked Uncle Mirabile to do one of his Wharnie’s that I am so found of but we needed to have it built for her as in small hands appropriate dimensions

I am a huge proponent of the WHARNCLIFFE design for a defensive EDC

So besides the standard mace and good flashlight and since she can not take a gun she will be taking this little Beauty along

And yes she has grew up working with trainers and such with me and learning how to defend herself

So here is Bell’s knife

David did a fantastic job

The handle is sized for her wrapped in carbon fiber ITO (cordage) that is resin soaked that makes for a very grippy handle

He really emphasized the heel to make near impossible for her hand to slide up on to the blade. It’s almost chef knife like.

In a saber/Phillipino style grip it should be an excellent sticker and a wicked slicer. Plus every kid is allowed to have a kitchen knife in their dorm :)

The blade is a laminated blade with a carbon core W2 and the jacket is a 400 series stainless which will give her a beautiful appearance with an easy to sharpen edge and a rust resistant skin for those dreadful kitchen chores ;)

He is making a Kydex covered and lined sheath tghat will get the standard Velcro strap set up that i favor so she can lash it to a pack, inside a purse or on her person

Mirabile as always killed it and did it in days of my request he’s a good uncle David

I9 should tell him moving forward that all my orders are for Bell :)

There is 3 knives on his bench that got put aside to make my girls

Thank you David

Beautiful knife, you're a good Dad & I wish your daughter well with college!!!

It's great how your \ Davids Wharncliffe EDC evolves. All similar but each unique in their own way.

I was gong to ask him to make one in San Mai for me.

That should serve Bell well. Congratulations and Best wishes for her in her new adventure.

College? But they were tiny little peoples a couple years ago....
