Belt and grinder questions

I just started to make my own knives and I'm planning on using a cheapie 1" x 30" belt sander/ grinder from Harbor Freight (they're $29.99).

Anyone use something similar?

Anyone know a good source of cheap belts in various grits?

I started out on a 1x42 craftsman. I used it on my dvd on grinding blades. still does great. I use industrial abrasives belts. If you buy 6 you get 12. they are not the best but they work. cheap and effective.

I have a 1 x 30" grinder that I use and it works okay for the time being. A good place to check for belts is www.popsknifesupplies.com he has grits up to 600 for a little over $1 each. Shipping is pretty reasonable too.
