belt grinder choice

i have $500 should i just get the craftsman belt grinder or is it worth it to get the Kalamazoo 1sm or even grizzly knife making belt grinder.

You'd be better served in the knifemakers section - But I'd go with the Grizzly. I started with a Harbor freight, moved onto the grizzly, and a few months later went full blown professional with a variable speed Pheer.

If you're anywhere near cincinnati, drop me a line, I still have my grizzly 2x72, It's just collecting dust.
