Just finished a series of small knives for your belt loop or neck. Kind of fun to make small stuff once in a while.

I like all these! Nice designs!

Would love to pick one up some day!

Thanks gpd01! These have went over well and are almost all gone. I am about to make another batch, my question is polished with nice wood handles, bead blasted with canvas micarta or what????? Your thoughts please.
Thanks and God Bless!
Jim

Ooh, actually, I change my mind. If you could make one with a brushed or polished finish and that translucent green G10 or G11, that would be truly awesome and I would be forced to order one or two in March...

... if you don't have the gear to work with G10, I'd do the fancier versions. Maybe polished micarta in different colors?

Lots of good ideas madcap! What equipment are you talking about for the G10? I work carbon fibre graphite, is it any different? I have a respirator, dust collector and shop air filtration. I have not used the G10 but want to.
Thanks,
Jim

g10 is a glass laminate and works pretty easy. Its awful stuff to breathe but is handled similar to carbon fiber.

Now that I am not sure....Never seen the translucent stuff. They use g10 for alot of things, so try just a google search or post in shop talk. Someone will know where to get it.

I don't know about equipment, I'm no maker. It's just that when you work G10 it produces stuff that's pretty nasty to breathe and some part time knifemakers don't use it because they have kids in the house or don't have the filters or respirators to work it properly- but I couldn't you what you need to work it safely. Filip De Coene uses translucent G11 on his Outdoor 1 model and ever since I saw it I've been drooling over the stuff.

AT Barr has made One-Eyed Jacks with Jade G10... you might PM him and see if he remembers where he got it...

Nice knives. I like #39 & 40. In an earlier post you said you were doing a show late Feb. Did I miss it?
