Anyone know of a company that makes a nylon velcro closure belt pouch for the Benchmade Rukus. Would like one that can be carried horizontal or vertical. But my preference is horizontal. None of my Blackhawk or Eagle mag pouches fit it cause it's too long. But perhaps Blackhawk or Eagle make some other pouch I'm not aware of that will fit it. Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Yes, Benchmade makes (or has made for them) nylon sheaths for folders, although you'd be better to contact them (or go to their website) to see if they'll fit the Rukus and can carry horizontally.

I wanted the same only made of leather. So...I made my own. It's a might ugly, I admit, but it's given me the chance to wear it and see what I'll do different on the next one, which I promise myself will be a tad purtier.

It rides horizontally to the right of my belt buckle (but it can go either side). It rides with the thumbstud up.

Benchmade does not make a sheath that fits a Rukus.

I've talked to them on the phone.

I ended up getting a sheath that was made for a tactical flashlight.

That sheath is purdy. I'd make one in black to change things up, but nice work! As Steven said above, the Eagle KS-F might work OK, it takes my 615 with room to spare.

Mighty ugly is in the eye of the beholder. I think you did an excellent job with that sheath Stretch! The wet forming looks awesome and looks like it will hold the Rukus in place with no problems. The finished edges also look mighty good as does the stitching. What ounce leather did you use as it looks fairly thick....8 ounce? Bottom line......you done GOOD!

Thanks for the kind words, Cutter and Vic. The leather is 7-8oz and it holds the knife in securely. There is never a worry of losing it when I'm wearing the setup.

I call it a might ugly because of the fingernail marks (when wet forming), my sloppy dye job, and the not-so-neatly-trimmed "relief" cut at the bottom of the sheath.

Glad you like it though. Rukii just don;t belong in a nylon sheath.... I don;t think.

Thats a nice set up with the leather.

I would try to find a single hi cap pistol mag case that fit the Rukus.
I bet that a case would suit the Rukus way better than pocket carry.

Im sure maxpedition makes a sheath for it. They're top notch when it comes to nylon. That leather sheath looks awesome as well, great job stretch!

Good looking leather sheath and mighty sharp photos. I am actually seeing the grain on the leather without squinting my eyes. Thanks for sharing.

Lighthound carries a bunch of sheath for flashlights. I am not sure how wide is your knife but I hope the following pics can give you some ideas.

I also took a pic of the Maxpedition Single Sheath with the same Surefire flashlight E2DL. However, I think the sheath pocket is probably too shallow to hold your blade
