Thought I'd share a recent discovery.
I used to have one overhead light over my belt sander, I thought this was the best way to see exactly what I was doing. I noticed my head was creating a shadow. So I moved the light to the side, instead of directly overhead, and added another light on the other side using 100 Watt bright white bulbs. What a difference!
So much better light, no shadow and sharper edges!
I also raised the belt sander with a 6x6 to get the sharpening area about chest high. Another big difference!
It seems ergonomics and bright lighting has really helped me. Just wanted to share my recent epiphany.
