Just got hold of a Maxpadition fatboy s-type , like it very much...

what i need to ask is how well do the hold up ? have not had it long enough to tell how well time will wear on them...

just needed a B.O.B. and thought this would be better then the ol' backpack style of carry...

the s-type looks good , I mean.... nice stitching / good strap / looks to be well made

how will a few mags/clips/embloc's bouncing around on the bottom do ?

still working on just what to carry in it , sooooo much stuff..;).can't make up my mind what should go in 1st.......

........GG

it will hold up just fine. it is 1000 denier cordura, iirc. ive been lugging one around, a pygmy falcon, for about a year now. all kinds of stuff rattling around the bottom, no rips, tears, or even wear marks.

you have a fine pack, and it will serve you well.

I've had my Fat Boy over a year - absolutely love it. I get guys asking me about it sometimes. I also have one of their cell phone holsters, and two of their baton / flashlight holsters. Everything I've ever gotten from Maxpedition has been good.

I have a Fatboy Jumbo from TAD and it's damn durable. You don't have to worry about whether Maxpedition gear will hold up.

I carried a Fatboy for a couple of years, then sold it to someone on the forums, so that should give you some idea. I replaced it with a Jumbo Fatboy, and the only criticism I have of the bags is that the drawcords on the main comparment break pretty easily. I replaced them both with 550 cord, but they could have done that at the factory.

Mine is now more than 2 years old and carried a lot when in civies. There got to be so many of them in use that I put my green/black name tag on mine. Well made and useful. If you need more space, add a few extra pockets & carriers. Too bad other stuff we buy isn't as well made.
