Beltrame "Evolution" knife

...looks like some sort of a trick opener. Does anyone have
one of these or know anything about it?

I know Beltrame mainly makes automatics, but this seems
to be a manual opener, unless there is some sort of
bolster/hidden release.

Offhand, I'd say that it's an artsy friction folder. The section with the long slot cut into it probably isn't sharp, and the handle looks like it pivots around to cover either the blade or the slotted protrusion. It doesn't look like it would be too safe or comfortable in the pocket, but the site doesn't mention a sheath or a pouch. If nothing else, it'd make a neat desk toy. What I can't figure out is what holds the handle in place when it's covering the blade.
