Gadgets and Gear needs a photo thread for belts, holsters and sheaths. Show off your custom, OEM, or homemade rigs. When posting name the maker/manufacturer and model if known. Here are a few of mine:

Mernickle Holsters PS6 for a Government Model 1911:

Ares Gear Ranger Belt, PWS kydex holster and mag pouches...for a Government Model 1911. This is one of the stiffest belts/systems I own.

Holds close to the body - great conceal carry:

I love my Galco Instructors Belt. It's been great. I need a new belt though as the Velcro is worn after 5+ years. I like the look of yours I may check that out, other wise I'll get another Galco belt instructors belt. They're made for carry, really thick and practically impossible to bend.

My holster is the Galco Kingtuk which is also really great... Very comfortable even with a mid size handgun. It's also in need of replacement after 6 years of almost daily use.

I've been interested in those Kingtuk holsters. I find myself using OWB 75% of the time though. Here's my Crossbreed, Liger Belt (name makes me laugh - Napolean Dynamite), and a PWS mag pouch.

The belt is actually a solid piece of gear...just try to ignore the name. I've had this one ~8 years. No delaminating, no stretching, made of a heavy rubber like material - form pressed I assume. One of my favorite synthetic material belts. Not as stiff as the Ares Gear belt, but it does the job.

Here's another Mernickle PS6 for a Comander 1911. I'm partial to high ride holsters for concealment - Mernickle does it right.

This leather "wedge" allows the gun to ride high and keeps the butt close to your body. A remedy for the common problem of high ride holsters that cause the gun to flip away from the body.

Here's a set up for snake country. Mernickle gun belt, bond arms 410 in a driving holster, and Backwoods Custom.

This is a shoulder rig I made for any fixed-blade I care to attach to it (Wilson Tactical model 25 pictured).

The rig disappears under a sport coat. And the angle of the sheath/knife as it hangs under my arm is fully adjustable, as is the size. I use this rig occasionally when I want to carry a fixed-blade concealed but not in my waistband (like if I'm going to be doing a lot of sitting).

It's quite comfortable. I wouldn't use it if it weren't.

Nice, does the knife hang verticle or horizontal under the arm?

Thanks. I have the rig adjusted so the knife hangs at a slight forward angle (closer to vertical than horizontal).

Originally one of my big concerns was that the knife/sheath would "migrate" and that I might grab a handful of air if I reached for the knife, but I was happy to discover that it stays in place and always remains within easy reach.

Conceals fine with an untucked / unbuttoned shirt...jacket is even better.

Well I thought there'd be more interest in belts, holsters and sheaths in Gadgets and Gear...? Alas, we'll let this one slide to the thread boneyard.
